Yugioh! World Championship Round 2 – Yuki Warangai (Darkworlds) Vs Chi Wai Leung (Inzektors)

Game 1 –

Leung opens with centipede and ladybug, searching a dragonfly from his deck.

He activates pot of duality, revealing lance, TT, and another duality. He adds TT to his hand. He set s 2 to his backrow and ends.

Waragai plays allure of darkness, banishing zephyros the elite. H normal summons Trance Archfiend, and activates it’s effect, ditching Snoww. He adds grapha to his hand, attacks with archfiend into centipede, and passes.

Waragai plays Gates, discarding grapha which destroys Torrential Tribute. HE banishes Snoww from his graveyard and draws, finally ending hir turn.

Leung activates Call of haunted,  getting centipede to the field. He uses ladybug to search for hornet.

He activates MST on Waragai’s warning, and summons dragonfly. Hornet destroys gates, and centipede is special summoned. Hornet next destroys trance, and trance gets snow to Waragai’s hand with its effect. Leung adds another dragonfly to his hand. He plays allure of darkness, banishing a dragonfly. He overl;ays with centipede and dragonfly, into Leviair. Leviair grabs another dragonfly from the banished zone.  Hornet’s effect destroys Leung’s set foolish burial, grabbing another centipede. Hornet next destroys centipede, and Leung grabs gigamantis. Leung activates giga mantis, and shows the heavy storm! Knowing Leung has the OTK, Waragai scoops for game 2.

During Side Decking, Waragai looks to be side decking  15 cards, so is he siding into a new deck?!

Game 2 –

Waragai sets 2 cards to his backrow, and sets a monster.

Leung summons inzektor ladybug, and equips with hornet. Waragai flips skill drain! But Leung has MST!

Hornet’s effect destroys Waragi’s set Solemn Warning. Ladybug attacks into Beiige!

Leung sets 2 to his backrow and ends.

Waragai turns beige to attack, and attacks ladybug. He sets 1 backrow and ends. Leing flips royal decree!

Leung uses hornet equipped to a hornet to destroy beige.

Waragai activates gates, banishing beige, discarding brow, and drawing. He summons trance archfiend, and attacks hornet.

Leung activates pot of duality, revealing hornet, scarecrow and warning. He adds scarecrow to his hand and passes.

Waragai attacks directly with trance archfiend, sets 1 to his backrow and passes. Leung summons centipede, equipping hornet. Hornet destroys gates, and leung adds a dragonfly to hand. Centipede attacks trance. Leung passes.

Waragai checks his graveyard, before activating a second gates. He uses gates to banish trance, discarding beige, and draws. He activates foolish burial, sending grapha to the graveyard. Waragai bounces his newly special summoned beige to hand, to special summon grapha. He sets 1, and activates dragged down! Leung discards brow, Waragai discards Leung’s scarecrow. Leung scoops, with only 3000 lifepoints left, staring down a Grapha!

It appears Waragai didn’t side into a new deck. Waragai sides heavily again for game 3! Perhaps he’s playing mind games with Leung, as he appears to be siding so many cards, yet his deck does not seem to be any different, as we didn’t see any side deck cards from Waragai. Perhaps he was bluffing, and intends to side deck for real this time? Lets see!

Game 3 –

(Lag, so a little late)

Starts with a Dimensional fissure and ladybug on field for Leung. He equips gigamantis, sets 1 to his backrow and passes.

Waragai has a backrow card, a broww banished, Leung is on 6000LP with a warning in graveyard. Waragai summons Snoww, and uses MST on Leung’s Dimensional fissure. He activates foolish burial, sending grapha to the graveyard.  Waragai returns Broww to SS grapha, and activates dragged down! Leung has scarecrow and reborn, waragai has raven, trance and snow in hand. Leung chooses to discard trance from Waragai’s graveyard, and they both draw. Waragai passes.

Leung summond dragonfly! Equips ladybug, and uses its effect to make ladybug level 00, and special summons a centipede. Ladybug goes off again, and Leung XYZ’s into exa-stag. He steals grapha! Activates call of the haunted, bringing back the dragonfly he detatched for exa stag. He uses ladybug twice more on centipede and dragonfly, adding a hornet to hand with centipede’s effect. Leung equips dragonfly with gigamantis, and uses MST on gigamantis, special summoning another centipede from his deck, and a ladybug from the graveyard with mantis’ effect., and equips one centipede with hornet. He overlays the last free centipede, and the dragonfly for giga brilliant, equips ladybug with gigamantis and attacks for game! A flurry of special summons from Leung gives him game 3!

Leung wins 2-1!
